No foul - you can see the dots on the cue ball change direction before it hits 9, meaning it hit 3 first.

Did they consult a expert on ball movement such as a Physicist who can exactly tell how ball movement behave as far as laws of physics are applied?

The distance travelled by the two contact balls at a certain time will show which ball had been hit first(the one that travelled a longer distance).

that would be true.. provided that the same force hits both the balls, right? so, it's not necessarily valid in this situation.

There is nothing to debate about! It's so clear that he hits the 9 ball first instead of the 3 ball! Everyone who cannot see that should get himself a pair of glasses! A shame though for the fans and for django! He really played well!

really hard to tell. at first look, it hits the 9 but when you try to notice more, the cue ball touched the 3 lightly and hit the nine harder creating an impression that 9 was hit first. this is just my opinion.

I think it is a sensitive situation. it is very difficult to see from the camera angle. in my opinion, django should accept decision although he is no foul. every game has rules. players should know that. today god did not support him. this is a 50-50 situation. remember the goal of legend Hurst scored in the football match between england vs germany in world cup 1966. this is the sport beauty. good luck to jungle in world pool championship 2008

You don't need a physicist or a scientist to figure out what happened. It is so clear from the replay that the 9-ball was hit first. Even Bustamante knows that. No need for further study.

No foul - not that I'm pro pinoy or something. Clearly the cue touch the 3ball that light that our eyes will say that it hit the 9ball first. from tha camera views only 1 clearly showed it as no foul (the cam down the bank where he kicked the shot. the left cam from where django was, and especially the top showed it was foul while the right cam showed too close to call.

they could and shoould not have used the topcam since it is placed farther than the cam that's closest to the rail that django used. right cam and left cam cancelled out since it eclipsed the 3ball and the cueball respectively.

it was a foul ball. And Filipino audience, take your defeats garcefully.

The direction of th cue ball after hitting both balls will tell you that it hit the 3-ball first. End of conversation.

this was a clear foul.. ESPN shows the slow motion on different angles.. top, left right, straight.. and it clearly shows the 9 moves first...it was played back and forth showing the 9 move without the 3 moving....

That was definitely a foul. look at the path of the 3 ball. the direction it went, and the speed that it went is not consistent with the cue ball's speed

it hit the 3 first. watch the dot of the cue ball, it change direction toward the 9 ball after cutting the 3 ball. The top view looks like it hit the 9 first because of the speed the 9 ball moves. The side view angle cannot see the 3 ball coz the cue ball is at the back

He hits the 3 ball first but so thin to a point where the ball only moves a millimeter or less for a fraction of a second right before the 9 ball and then contacts the 9 ball with the cue ball and causes the cue ball to bounce on it's natural angle and send the 3 ball with force into the rail giving the optical illusion that he fouled and hit the 9 ball first...

Wow, what a million to one shot... speechless.

Bustamante got the royal shaft on that one.
