Malignaggi won a unanimous decision against Edner "Cherry Bomb" Cherry in February, his first fight since losing a 12-round decision but showing courage against Cotto last June.

N'dou also was valiant in losing a 12-round decision to Cotto in May 2004. The South African native, fighting out of Sydney, Australia, has reeled off six victories since then.
