why Japan?when's the last time Japan had a decent boxer? They produce better cm's then boxer's.It looked like Valero was carrying the guy to get rnds.I say when Valero step's up we see another level of his ability.Im a boxer and I got Knocked out once, and later someone said "i got knocked the f--k out!"I sat there thinking how absurd that sounds,I know its a expression but why not say knocked the shiite out! It's more plausible,I actually seen that happen once.

Where was the ring doctor after the fight ended? Valero is very one dimensional and once he fights a fighter who has power and can box decently, he will be KTFO...similar to what happened to Daniel Ponce De Leon.

Give the guy a break he's won more fights than any of you posting here, ask him how many times he's read the jealous ass comments from some assclown posted here.

he's over rated> I agree with the guy who said he have to fight juarez to see what he's really made of. Fans of this Latino are saying he should fight pacquiao or marquez but the guy's aint proven yet.. Japanese boxers are not world class as the mexicans. Lets keep it real! peace!

Valero did a Barrera!!! haaha...he punched the guy on the ground like Barrera did to Marquez....too funny...Pacquiao would kill Valero!

To answer "why Japan" it's because Valero suffered some sort of head injury years ago and was having trouble getting a U.S. license. He just got one in Texas though so his next fight will be state-side.

I agree with the majority...a good boxer will eat him up unless he gets in with a seriously good trainer. He has almost no defense.

Firstly, the bloke who said,'when's the last time japan produced a decent boxer'doesn't know what he's talking about and has obvously never seen hasegawa in action!Superb little fighter with beautiful moves.Secondly,i agree with pwright2k. Shimada was a disgrace. He had no intention to actually try to win his whole strategy was based on grabbing valero around the waist.Ridiculous! Valero needs to start fighting decent opposition. Good thing he's coming to the US. One more thing. Rocky juarez is not any easy fight for valero by any means.

This should have been a DQ win for Shimada.. Valero punched him when he was already down..That's just so disgusting.

I totally agree with the comments, here. If Valero fought someone good, he would be exposed for the one-dimensional fighter he is. He is exactly like a carbon-copy of Vic Darchinyan. And we all know what happened to him!

Valero's power punch is still questionable.. if he fight a decent fighter like Juan Manuel Marquez.. he will eat he's ass off... hahahahah.. he is an over rated boxer that still proved nothing.. Valero should have been disqualified after he punch the poor KO Shimada.. I thindk the referee is blind and too bias..LOL..

most of you guys seem to forget that he has already faced a big step up in competition in Mosquera, who was a very good champion who had also beaten many great fighters himself. It is only one champ so far but he did beat him.

He needs to improve many things but he is not a bad fighter and has been proven. He will get beaten eventually but he is doing good so far.

Valero will beat anyone put in front of him. Pacman showed his true colours in the circus fight for money with DLH.
He should fight Valero and then he'll get his respect back after his freak show.
